Enarratio In Epistolam Beati Pauli Ad Ephesios
Denis the Carthusian (1402–1471)
Denis the Carthusian's Enarratio in Epistolam beati Pauli ad Ephesios is a fifteenth-century Latin exposition of Paul's Letter to the Ephesians by the Carthusian theologian and mystic Denis of Rijkel (c. 1402/03–1471). Written within his immense biblical-commentary project, it reads the Vulgate through the literal, doctrinal, moral, and contemplative concerns of late-medieval monastic theology. It belongs to the Scripture commentaries preserved in the Carthusian Opera omnia, printed in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Schola offers the Latin text.
