José Ángel García Cuadrado (born 1963) is a Spanish philosopher who has taught at the University of Navarra. His research concerns medieval and early modern scholastic philosophy, particularly the School of Salamanca, and he has published studies, editions and translations of its authors, including Domingo Báñez.
His work on Báñez includes Spanish translations with introductions of Báñez's writings on the ethics of war and on the nature of theology as sacred doctrine. These introductions place Báñez's texts in the context of sixteenth-century Salamanca and explain their sources and argument for readers approaching them for the first time.
The library holds his introductions to Báñez's De bello and to La sagrada doctrina. They are useful companions to the Latin commentaries of Báñez in the library.
