Francisco Marín-Sola

Francisco Marín-Sola, O.P.'s La evolución homogénea del dogma católico (Madrid–Valencia, 1923) is a large Spanish Dominican account of how Catholic doctrine can develop without becoming a different faith. Drawing on Aquinas and the wider scholastic tradition, it distinguishes homogeneous doctrinal growth from modernist or merely historical change and analyzes the role of theological inference, ecclesial teaching, and controversies about grace. The work became an important reference point in twentieth-century Thomist discussions of doctrinal development and remains a key primary witness to Spanish neo-scholastic theology.
