Girolamo da Montefortino

Girolamo da Montefortino (1662–1738) was an Italian Franciscan of the Observance from Montefortino in the Marche. He taught theology in the order's schools.

His *Summa theologica* of Scotus, published in six volumes between 1728 and 1734, gathers Scotus's teaching from all his works and arranges it in the order of the questions and articles of Thomas's *Summa theologiae*. It made it possible to read Scotus question by question beside Thomas, and it was reprinted in Rome at the beginning of the twentieth century.
