Francesco Lichetto (died 1520), known in Latin as Franciscus Lychetus, was a Franciscan of the Observance from Brescia. He taught Scotist theology in the order's schools and was elected minister general of the Observants in 1518. He died in 1520, still in office.
His commentaries on Scotus's *Ordinatio* and *Quodlibet* explain the text sentence by sentence and defend it against its critics. They were printed with Scotus's own text, and when Luke Wadding edited Scotus's works in 1639 he reprinted Lychetus's commentary beside them. For centuries, readers met Scotus through Lychetus's explanations.
